Office Shoes
Most employees these days go to the gym after work. They bring an extra gym bag to make sure they have everything they need, even their pre workout supplements. There are companies which allow casual clothing as their work attire, so most of them come to work in rubber shoes or workout shoes. But in a corporate world, there are certain rules in which types of shoes should a woman use.
Let us start with what’s NOT Office Appropriate
1. Platforms
Keep your heels under 4 inches tall. Not only do they look more professional, but they’ll be easier on your feet.
2. Sandals
The only strappy shoes we’d recommend for the office are a classic pair of mary janes.
3. Party Heels
What would you wear?
1. The goes-with-everything shoe
The basic black pump is known as the work-horse of office shoes, and for good reason, but we’d suggest an even more versatile heel: the nude pump.

2. The lady-like flat
You can’t wear heels every day, but that doesn’t mean you should show up to work in flip flops or Crocs. Even some flats are unacceptable, so when you shop, make sure you select a pair that’s right for your workplace. A good question to ask yourself: Would Audrey Hepburn wear these? The iconic actress loved flats, but hers were lady-like, not child-like. Select a pair with minimal embellishment, quality construction and no crazy colors or designs.

Gwyneth Paltrow Colorblock Platforms (Grammys 2011)
If you were like me who were wowed by Gwyneth’s performance at the Grammy’s, you must also be wondering what shoes was she wearing.
While performing on the 2011 Grammy’s stage with Cee Lo Green and the Muppets, Gwyneth Paltrow was wearing Christian Louboutin’s ‘Futura’ multicolored booties with an all black onesie with plunging neckline (she was so sexy it made me think twice about biting the bullet and getting secratatropin hgh) and feather earrings.

Dressy Flats
While some opt to wear heels to dressy occasions, let’s face it, there are just some women who cannot wear heels. Thankfully, there are dressy flats in season we women can wear to parties. It is like having customized managed hosting for your needs if you think about it, if we are talking about web site hosting packages for your blog needs.
One piece of advice — if you’re going to wear flats for a dressy evening out, keep your hemline on the short side or you pants slim-to-skinny; long skirts
or wider leg pants with flats can look a bit matronly, and that’s not good for anyone’s holiday spirit.

Oxford Shoes
I have always been apprehensive how to wear oxford shoes, it seems a bit on the manly side to me and I think you need to have sexy calves to be able to wear it nicely, something I do not have. I used to wear one as nursing shoes back when I was doing my internship at nursing school and doing patient monitor charts, but I was so skinny back then!
Here is a brief history of the Oxford shoes:
Oxford shoes, which were among the first men’s laced shoes, were worn in the 17th century, often by men attending a university. Unlike their predecessors, early laced shoes were cut smaller than the foot, which gave men a mincing step. They were associated with foppery, fine dressing and a particular social class. Oxford shoes might also be called Balmorals, but because they were most associated with college men, the name Oxford shoes was born. Americans wouldn’t see many Oxford shoes until the early 19th century, and by then many modifications to the shoe had been made.
Shoe Trends: Square Toes
Since I have big and wide, boat-like feet, I have had trouble going with the pointy-toed shoe trend before! I am in luck this time because square-toed loafers, flats, and pumps are back in fashion in a big way. I may even ask for this together with stockings for christmas at Personal Creations!
I find this style both comfortable and fabulous. It’s a perfect complement to the the trousers and pencil skirts that are currently popular. As an added plus, this preppy staple has a timeless feel– regardless of whether it’s strictly on trend.
Some great finds from the experts:
The Importance of Work Boots
A friend’s dad works as a foreman in a construction firm and she told me that she wants to buy him new Timberland boots for Christmas. Since I do not really wear any kind of boots, she explained to me that these work boots are very important in their job. In fact, it is not an option for them. They are required to wear these specialized men’s boots every time they report for work especially when doing work at a construction site.
These boots help them perform their job better because it allows them to be more comfortable. Sometimes there are other more specialized boots that they can use for particular jobs. Aside from allowing them to do their job, these boots also provide safety and protection. These boots are often required because the kind of work that they do can be hazardous to their feet. The boots provide the needed protection. Not only will it provide protection from injury, it will also protect their feet from getting dirty. Construction sites can be very muddy and there are no other options when it comes to footwear.
Since my friend’s dad has been using the same boots for more than a year now, it looks so worn that my friend decided to buy him new ones. I’m sure he would really appreciate it.
Fall Fashion Trend: Military Boots, Open Toe Platforms and Wedges
A great surprise this season is the trend towards open toed shoes even during the start of cold/winter season. It is like finding a cheap car insurance right in the middle of car buying season!

Bonus: they’re a good transition style while you’re waiting for the temps to catch up to your wardrobe. Pair them with slim skirts and pants for the most up-to-date look.
Military Style is the biggest look of Fall 2010, so it’s not surprising that desert boots have come back around. This old-school style is one of the most current shoes of the season. If you like it, it’s definitely the time to wear it!
The most classic incarnation of the desert boot has the following characteristics:
- Suede
- Rubber crepe sole
- Lace-up
- Low rise
Four Shoes in One: Michael Kors Frannie Convertible Boot
Seasons are changing and most women are turning in their flip flops for ballet flats and preparing their boots for snow. Even door hardware are replaced to prepare for weather changes.
All these changes mean one thing – expenses. And if you are trying to save without trying to look as if you are trying to, you might want to consider investing in this baby.
With just a few zips, you can transform them from high boots to mid-calf boots, all the way down to ankle boots.
In versatile black suede and a flat sole, not only do they go with everything but you’ll actually be able to walk in them–every day–from fall until spring. Phew. It must be tough being that perfect. Oh yeah, and they’re 40% off.
What are you waiting for then?
Isabel Toledo for Payless
For those women in a budget, Payless Shoes have been their saving grace. They can get quality shoes on a budget without sacrificing style. I chanced upon these shoes when browsing for vga cables I needed to look for to report to my friend. Four shoe styles from the Isabel Toledo for Payless collection, which had been slated to launch in early September, have popped up on the Payless website. There’s a metallic ghillie flat, a black ghillie flat, funky ghillie heel, and pom pom flat, all priced under $40. The designer, who follows in the collab footsteps of Lela Rose, Patricia Field and Christian Siriano, described her shoes as "pure Toledo—playful, bold and strong."
