Holiday Flats

For those who doesn’t want to wear those skyscraper heels when attending holiday parties discussing rv insurance quote packages, travel packages and sales with friends and catching up, here are some flats that would be great for partying AND keeping your comfortable on your feet for hours!

Holiday Shoes You Can Find at Zappos.com

With Christmas only 19 days away, I am pretty sure that everyone is trying to beat the holiday rush and complete their Christmas shopping AND everyone is attending holiday parties and getting festive left and right. For women, getting all dressed up for holiday parties alone can be a source of stress, especially if one thinks that one should never wear the same outfit twice.

How about shoes though? I believe that shoes can be a great investment but would rather not pay for something so expensive only to have it suffer from wear and tear. That being said, I always look out for deals and sales and when Zappos usually gives one, I am first to check out – I have big feet (size 11 – check that out in micrometers and be shocked!) so I always try to buy shoes as soon as I am certain that I love it otherwise I’d have a hard time finding one in my size.

Here are a couple of holiday shoes from Zappos for those in a budget:

Having Chucks is like finding eyelash growth products that really work – you just stick with it no matter clothes you wear and it somehow just blends in! This how most people feel about their chucks. In fact, a fashionista even called it as one of the shoes every woman needs to own in her closet! At least I have crossed off one pair of shoes in the shoes must-have list, but I’d want one of these fashionista Chucks if I have money to spare.

Shoes You Need

essential shoes

I know those who love shoes cannot have enough. It’s like having your motorhome sujected to endlessmotorhome repair jobs – there is just no “perfect” shoe, because it is only as perfect as the next “perfect” one that comes along.

According to fashion advisers, here are some shoe types that you need to have at least a pair of:
1. Peep-toe black heels. Whether platform or pumps, a peep-toe black heel works with skinny or wide-leg pants and skirts at the office or flirty dresses at night

2. Ballet flats. They’re comfortable, can be dressed up or dressed down, and are generally super affordable.

3. Heeled ankle boots. A sleek bootie adds another layer of style to any outfit.

4. Nude pumps. Very of-the-moment, nude pumps will elongate your leg and can be paired with pretty much any color.

5. Flat sandals.

6. Wedge heels. Wedge-heeled shoes, sandals, or boots are super versatile and have the added bonus of…comfort!

7. Flat, chunky boots.

8. Stylish sneakers. Perfect for Saturday coffee runs, walks with Fido, or even to dress down a suit, every fashionista needs a break from toe-twisting heels.

Nude Shoes

celebrities wearing nude shoes

My sister works as a stylist of a fashion retailing clothing company and they presented at the recently concluded Fashion Week. She took a picture of herself wearing the model’s orange shoes and they were beautiful. I told her it would even look better in nude and guess what? Celebrities have been using it more lately. I guess staying online most of the day studying about document management software has its advantages, I still can read gossip sites and stay updated in the fashion world!

Wide Calf Boots

The ugly truth? Even if your size 6, you can have wide calves. And that is why there are boots which are made specifically for those not-so-sexy calves. (It’s like having a specific pet bed for a specific size of dog breed!).

For you to know your measurement, use a tape measure and measure the circumference of your calf 14″ – 15″ up from the base of your foot to find your correct calf size.

You also would need to try one the boots with the clothes you plan to wear them with – skinny jeans, tights or leggings.

However, don’t be afraid to shop online, as many retailers and designers offer a plethora of wide calf boots at great prices. Just make sure the description says “wide calf” and make sure to check the description to see the circumference of the boot shaft (look for shafts of 15 inches+).

You be the judge – YAY or NAY?

Ok, I will go first. I’ll say NAY, just because I haven’t seen it in action yet but I might just “like” the yellow lemons instead of the red strawberries because the lemons are not that obvious against the yellow canvas. I love chucks but I would take a pass at this collection!

Office Shoes

Most employees these days go to the gym after work. They bring an extra gym bag to make sure they have everything they need, even their pre workout supplements. There are companies which allow casual clothing as their work attire, so most of them come to work in rubber shoes or workout shoes. But in a corporate world, there are certain rules in which types of shoes should a woman use.

Let us start with what’s NOT Office Appropriate

1. Platforms
Keep your heels under 4 inches tall. Not only do they look more professional, but they’ll be easier on your feet.
2. Sandals
The only strappy shoes we’d recommend for the office are a classic pair of mary janes.
3. Party Heels

What would you wear?

1. The goes-with-everything shoe
The basic black pump is known as the work-horse of office shoes, and for good reason, but we’d suggest an even more versatile heel: the nude pump.

2. The lady-like flat
You can’t wear heels every day, but that doesn’t mean you should show up to work in flip flops or Crocs. Even some flats are unacceptable, so when you shop, make sure you select a pair that’s right for your workplace. A good question to ask yourself: Would Audrey Hepburn wear these? The iconic actress loved flats, but hers were lady-like, not child-like. Select a pair with minimal embellishment, quality construction and no crazy colors or designs.

The Letter is P.

I am Peggy and I love to delight and amuse myself with anything artistically visual. I spend many hours on Etsy and either send money, get frustrated because I do not have money and wish I was talented with anything other than having the talent to spot nice things.

Which I think all people inherently have.

I love to shop. I love to window shop. Online.
