Tips on Putting on False Eyelashes

Thanks to Katy Perry and the Kardashians, wearing false eyelashes is back and becoming a trend, thanks to their overly extended and luscious lashes! I honestly cannot stand wearing falsies for a long time since my eyes tend to twitch when tired. And if there is something heavy weighing on them, they twitch even more. I’d need duracell procell aa batteries for my eyes I think
. Fortunately, the falsies available in the market today are light so wearing them all day is easier!

1. Look for ones that are light with some space in between the lashes, to better blend with your real lashes.
2. Use only a small amount of glue when putting on fake eyelashes, you should put them on starting with the interior of your eye moving outward.
3. Put eyeliner on before you put your lashes on. Liquid liner is best because it’s thick and can hide the space between your false lashes and your real ones.
4. The best way to keep them looking natural is to first place the false lash on your eye BEFORE putting on the glue. While looking in the mirror, notice where your eyelashes end and the false lashes begin. Then take a tiny pair of scissors and trim the lashes to match your own (make sure to remove the false eyelash from your eye BEFORE doing this).
5. Once you have the lashes on, simply put mascara over both your false eyelashes and your real ones, to bind them together.

Mastering the No-Makeup Look

I love make-up! But I still do not know how to apply them beautifully. I have always wanted to learn how to apply the barely-there no make-up look. And almost every make-up artist would tell me the same thing: Start and invest in good skin. Like a good car, lamborghini custom floor mats would still not look good if it is not clean.
Here are some tips too:
1. Shop for a foundation that matches you exact shade.
2. Shop for a great concealer.
For things like redness, uneven skin tone, sallowness, sometimes special types of concealer are required.
Problem: Undereye bluish veins
Color Solution for Light/Med Skin: Light peach/salmon
Color Solution for Med/Dark Skin: Honey yellow/salmon/orange
Problem: Undereye red/bluish (looks purplish)
Color Solution for Light/Med Skin: Yellow/light peach/salmon
Color Solution for Med/Dark Skin: Honey yellow/salmon
Problem: Undereye dark brown/reddish
Color Solution for Light/Med Skin: Yellow/light peach
Color Solution for Med/Dark Skin: Honey yellow/salmon
3. Blush/Bronzer.
Blush and bronzer both do wonderful things to wake up skin of all colors. To apply bronzer, use this trick I learned from the folks at Estee Lauder: apply in an “E” from the temples, sweeping to the hollows of the cheeks, and then sweep down to the bottom of the jaw for a natural sun-kissed look. Apply blush to the apples of the cheeks.
For more dry and mature skin try creme blush and bronzer.
MAC Me Over Collection
Make-up is unlike any addiction for a friend of mine. If cigarette smokers can turn to an e cigarette for a placebo, I don’t think there are none for make-up addicts. For example, this new collection of MAC called MAC Me Over hit the stores last August 25th, and you can bet my friend has the entire collection already!

This collection is great if you’re a MAC newbie as it really introduces you to a lot of basic products for your stash.

Drugstore Make-up You Can Trust
Diets pills that work are hard to find. Fortunately, finding good make-up at the drugstore is not that hard. All you need to have are leads which ones are best buys.
Got these tips from the Style and Beauty Doctor:
1. CoverGirl Queen Collection Bronzer. Dark brown girls who love bronzer but just wanted one darker than whats offered in other brands, look no further.
2. Milani Secret Cover Concealer Stick. At just about $3 this is an awesomely creamy concealer and although it only comes in four shades, they’re still a good range of color. These are good enough to use on dark circles and other skin discoloration.
3. Black Radiance Eyeshadow. Whether you pick up a duo or a quad you’re in for a treat. Priced less than a Starbucks latte, these shadows have AWESOME pigmentation and great color range for being so inexpensive.
4. Black Radiance Sheer Finish Blush.
5. Black Radiance Perfect Tone Lip Color. Notice a trend? Black Radiance is an awesome drugstore brand. Their lipsticks are just under $2, are really creamy, and have an excellent range of colors IF your store carries them.
6. Black Radiance Radiant Lip Gloss.
7. Black Opal True Color Foundation. For just about $8.99 (and that’s NYC prices—it’s likely cheaper everywhere else) you can get great medium coverage with shades that are great for a range of Black skin tones.
8. Black Opal True Color Foundation Stick. Very creamy and can be used as foundation or just as concealer. Apply it where you need it for a flawless look. This is also another favorite of celeb makeup artist Sam Fine.
9. Iman Cosmetics Second to None Luminous Foundation. A powder foundation is great for oilier skin types and even though this one has a bit of shimmer to it.
10. Iman Sheer Finish Bronzing Powder.
11. Iman Cosmetics Under Cover Agent Oil Control Primer.
12. Wet N’ Wild Mega Eyes Liquid Liner. For just under $2 this liner goes hard! It’s easy to apply and lasts surprisingly long considering the low price tag.
13. CoverGirl Liquiline Blast Liner. These are so creamy, so pigmented, and they really do last for hours. Plus they come in 5 really vibrant colors and in black.
14. Maybelline Mineral Power™ Natural Perfecting Liquid Foundation . If you like a lightweight foundation that’s inexpensive, try this one.
15. Maybelline Volum’ Express the Falsies Washable Mascara. For just $6 you can get the same long and voluminous lashes you could with almost any “high end” mascara out there.
Hello Kitty for Sephora
Times have indeed changed. While most 6th graders nowadays would want a new iPod or ask for the htc desire 2.2 phone, when we were 6th graders we were all involved on stationeries and stickers. I remember I was pretty hooked with Sanrio products especially Hello Kitty at that time.
So imagine my surprise when I saw that Hello Kitty has its own make-up line and collaborated with Sephora!
