Victoria’s Secret angels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Erin Heatherton and Candice Swanepoel kicked off the Bombshell Summer Tour all wearing Heartloom dresses, which retail for around $100 – $150 each. (You’d wish they be in their lingerie or naughty nurse costume huh?)

I love how they look so good in anything – notice how long the legs these models have! These short and sweet mini dresses are perfect for summer.

Kids these days thrive on wearing funny t-shirts. Most of them can now order online and even customize their own funny t-shirts. Most of these business owners are young themselves so they know what clicks with their age group.

Why would people want to wear them?
1. They help in projecting your mood and personality.
2. They compliment one’s style and give a sense of humor too.
3. They can make great conversation starters. It would be a great way to convey a message with meaning with a touch of humor.

Watching the classic film Somewhere in Time will make any fashion conscious individual think about the trends during that era. Those were the days when women are required to wear layers of clothing and make sure that the entire body is covered. Yes, it may be pretty a little too conservative of you ask the ladies of today, but there is something about vintage dresses that make it a standout and unique.

This is the perfect choice for women who the look of a timeless beauty. A basic rule in fashion: classic designs will never go out of style. The designs may involve but the whole theme will stay forever and no one can go wrong with a vintage dress especially if you are going for a feminine look. There are a number of reasons why people are bringing back this trend and there’s no doubt that one of them is the influence of celebrities. The public see these artists as icons and would like to copy their fashion statement. But most of today’s rising celebrities look up to their seniors when it comes to fashion. Hence vintage clothing is always taken out of the closet.

Now a challenge for any fashion savvy is to be able to give this vintage look a modern appeal. All it takes is confidence and the right attitude in order to pull it off.

The months of February and March are usually the time for prom in schools where we live. I actually have a lot of nieces who experienced their first prom last month and it was truly memorable for them. Of course, the months leading to the special night were all about losing weight, freaking out on every pimple that comes out, and finding the perfect prom dress! For ladies, it is almost always about the dress, not so much about the prom itself! It is often the first time they are going to be dressing up real nice and naturally, they would want it to be perfect. I have been looking at the trends for prom dresses 2011 and noticed the following:

1. It seems white is the new black, in terms of prom dresses.
2. And the same goes for dark-colored hues, most dresses are in bright hues!
3. Camel is another popular choice – so are navy, khaki and green. It seems green is everywhere! It is perfect for spring too.
4. Orange hues are a hit too – from tangerine to burnt orange, peach to fiery shades.
5. Most dresses have Hollywood (old 50s) as inspiration and lengths vary, focusing on asymmetrical hemlines.

Most high school students prefer to wear cocktail dresses these days too, since prom night means dancing all night long. They would naturally want to be in a dress that will allow them to dance freely, and long gowns with trains or with mermaid cuts/hemlines would not work with dancing. It will also be more cost-effective in the long run, as it can be worn at any occasion afterwards – parties, weddings, formal dinners. With cocktail dresses, colors are the key. I see different hues from pastels to jewel-toned colors to earth tones.

It remains to be a classic choice for most ladies as they do not get to have the chance to wear something princess-like until they get married or celebrate their 18th birthday in a formal way, like in a debutante party. Since formal dresses are not used that often, it needs to be taken cared of well and stored neatly so it can be worn, fresh as new, when the time comes. It would also help to stick to classic lines and hues for dresses like these.

While doing some research on hydroponic systems for a possible business for my brother-in-law, I saw an article recommending these little black dresses you can use for the upcoming influx of holiday parties you might be attending. Remember you don’t have to buy them all, as a black dress can serve as a foundation for new looks. Throw in a shawl, bolero, shrug, layer with accessories, and you will have a new outfit!

1. Once you have discovered what floral print works for you, think about style.
2. When you want people to notice your bustline or your pretty face, instead of your bottom half, then try wearing a feminine floral top paired with a plain bottom. (Their eyes will go to wherever you put the print).
3. If you just can’t get your head around wearing florals ( you prefer a much more tailored, clean look) then experiment by accenting a simple, solid colored outfit with a dash of botanical. A cute pair of flowered flats will great with an all white outfit, or better yet or better yet, with a new pair of dark wash trouser jeans and preppy red or white t-shirt.
